U.P. 7964

The U.P. 7964 just rolled by, it no longer has the blue decals for its 5000th GEVO designation. There is however fresh yellow paint where the blue used to be. Does anyone have any info on this?

I missed it by about 10 minutes the other day when it rolled through Wagoner OK, so I didn't get a glance at it---wonder if both sides have been repainted or was it just re-finish/repair work done to one side???  Anyone get other photos?

Both sides have been painted over. I seen the left side and a friend seen the right side a half hour later. I would have gotten pics but I only had about 3 seconds to get the camera ready.

Is the 5000th GEVO lettering still on the cooling shroud? It was a few weeks ago with the shiny yellow nose.

Why did they paint over it?

I was hoping to find that out too.

Painted over, or were the decals simply removed revealing clean-non faded paint underneath?
