The New and Improved Corning Flyer

I still miss that old, old version of the Corning Flyer, the blue smokey beast with the horns on the hood! I caught this newer version of power assigned to the CFNR West Valley Cortina-Corning sector today. For a while, it was being parked overnight in downtown Willows (may still be happening on some days); today it was tied up in early afternoon in downtown Corning once more, just south of the north switch on the siding. This new location probably gives it more exposure and protection from vandalism. The police station is half a block away!

The crew goes to work in Corning again and power should be tied up there every night.

I used to stop an hit the ATM in Corning on the way to Sacto, days past. Yuh know, sooner or
