Western Railroad Discussion > CNW UP 1995 at the ApexDate: 08/27/16 16:18 CNW UP 1995 at the Apex Author: RustyRayls I caught the CNW Heritage unit leaving Lost Wages in the daylight! We don't get many of these in the sunlight any more!
! & 2. The UP 1995 leads a 3+1 ZLAG1 stack train on the climb up the 1% grade to Apex Summit. Here they are at the Old Hwy 91 (Las Vegas Blvd.) bridge at MP 350.7 with about a mile to go before topping out at the summit. I love the desert scenry and the shot is composed perfect for the calendar or large framed wall photo! Cheers, Jim Fitch Date: 08/28/16 08:25 Re: CNW UP 1995 at the Apex Author: spdaylight The combination of the great composition with the clean CNW Heritage unit on the point with brightly coloured containers (and no freakin' graffiti!!) makes these two shots keepers . . . well done!

There is a pole line and lower terrain on the other side. Just have to "open up the shadows" in Photoshop. Bob Date: 08/28/16 11:18 Re: CNW UP 1995 at the Apex Author: mg8711 Great work! I love those thunderheads in the background. Congrats on IOTD.

The thunder-bumpers on the horizon really make the shot. One more week before I head south, I decided to drive via Vegas, so I'll be there for 2 or 3 days around the 7th. See you then or in October.
