Dumb luck on the BNSF at Lincoln, NE
Author: binder001

Well, dumb luck is better than no luck at all :-). Today we went down to 1st and J Streets in Lincoln, NE to catch today's military special on the BNSF.(1st and J is basically the east throat of BNSF's Hobson Yard).  As the military train entered the yards I started to get ready to leave but I spied an empty coal set coming along the tracks. Being a bit greedy, I thought "light is good, wife is waiting patiently in the car, I'll get one more train before going to supper". Just as I was snapping the shutter on the coalie, a KCS grain train came off the St. Joe line onto the Creston Sub and I caught both in the frame! To do this you either have to be a lucky Irishman or a great photographer and I certainly NOT a great photographer!
