Western Railroad Discussion > few Joint Line . . .Date: 08/28/16 20:09 few Joint Line . . . Author: 3rdswitch . . . there have been alot of rain showers and thunder storms up here in the neighborhood at Palmer Lake, CO, located at the midway point of the joint BNSF UP Denver Pueblo Joint Line main, day before yesterday after one of the showers the sun broke out and a nice rainbow appeared but by the time a northbound train arrived it was almost gone as seen from the deck (top). Yesterday after a hot tip happened to cross paths with SP8595 on the south side of Larkspur while pursueing the same train, a BNSF work train led by an unusual for these days foreign unit closely following a slow coal load laboring up grade (middle and bottom).

Thanks for sharing these. The first two shots I like especially. If that is the neighborhood in the background, it's larger than I envisioned Palmer Lake. Author: 3rdswitch Thanks, Palmer Lake is only the foreground area, all in the distance is Monument.
