That's One Big Egg!

I'm not sure there is anywhere else in the USA that you can shoot a 22 foot tall hand painted egg! Welcome to Wilson, Kansas where you can...Wilson's claim to fame is the World's Largest Hand Painted Czech Egg and the Czech capitol of Kansas. Just a few months ago the egg was placed under a roof and it is only a stones throw away from Union Pacific's mainline across western Kansas.

1) UP 1552 highballs west towards Hays, KS with the LDG89-26 in tow at Wilson.

Thanks for looking.

Yes, and did you get a good look at the grain elevators in Wilson? You can count the generations as you look at the additions.

Think they are safe. Their egg isn't a hand painted Czech Egg.

Just wondering, anyone have a robotic or mechanically painted egg?  I had my house hand painted this year, time to get a roof over it.

Is the world's largest ball of string also close to a RR RW?

NWK: Thanks for posting this! I had occasion to visit Wilson KS in the late 80's with my former wife. Her grandmother who at that time was in her 70''s, was one of 17 children of original Czech immigrants. She passed in 2013 at the age of 100 years and 6 months. She was regularly the Grand Marshall in the annual summer Czech Festival, which I believe takes place in July.  The railfan world can be small! Thanks again!

Please. No throwing stones at that egg.

Should that be just an eggs throw away from the mainline?

Nice shot!
