Western Railroad Discussion > EC-5 on KPDate: 09/27/16 18:27 EC-5 on KP Author: upkpfan Lucked out today. Just as I was coming out of the local Kwik- Shop this afternoon, I heard a train horn. I had to wait for 3 cars to go by before I could get out into the main st. to see what it was. Just saw the last half of a passenger car type car and knew right away that it was th EC-5 or EC-4 inspection car. I headed out on old West 40 and had to move right along. I got ahead of it as it was going thru Black Wolf, KS and it takes a swing to the South and then comes up out of the river bottom grade and crosses a underpass for vehicles and the train then gets on the North side of Old 40. A county road goes North about a 1/2 mile West of the underpass and that is where I headed as it is on a big sweeping curve to straighten out for it's Westerly run.
#1 is just North of the underpass about a half mile. #2 is just about 300 feet West of first shot. #3 is about 200' West of last one and moving right along. UP 2670 with EC-5, William Wimmer car. upkpfan Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/27/16 18:31 by upkpfan. Date: 09/28/16 10:07 Re: EC-5 on KP Author: SP8595 Nice catch Marv!
