Spent the weekend on a "staycation" locally here in Spokane at the Davenport Hotel with a great view of the BNSF/UP mainline through town. Poor fellow driving a Swift tractor trailer didn't pay attention to the clearance below the bridge and mushed his trailer to the point where a couple of big rig tow trucks had to pull him out.....just as an empty coal train passed overhead.

Interesting photo from a favorite place to watch trains. I have a question for any TO members from around the Spokane that deals with the photo shown here. At the bottom left in this photo is a white-roofed building by the tracks that used to be the Ramada Limited Motel. The third floor rooms where at the same level as the elevated rail line shown. I see vehicles parked there and was wondering if this motel is still in business, and if so under what name. I think it gave-up the Ramada affiliation several years ago, but have been unable to find out anything about the status of the property today...(?)

A very quick search of google maps shows it's now called Hotel Ruby2
