Three scenes from 2003 when the NUMMI Plant was still operating and the Warm Springs was a six day a week job.First view is switching the old ATSF Wood Street Yard. The second picture is the Turn northbound approaching Niles Junction. The third  image is the Local back on exATSF trackage about to duck under I580The Turn still runs but not on regular basis,as needed only.Bill Webb

That second shot is spectacular Bob.  You capitalized on the low light.

#2 the power has crossed Niles Jct, the 4th rack is on top of the diamond, Niles Jct.
Nice photos!
I'm lucky to live below the green hills on the left side of the photo.

Thanks for the look back.

Back in those years, BNSF Warm Springs Local was a more reliable catch than the MRVSJ in the Fremont area, and interesting power was often assigned to the job, like SDP40, SD45-2 and GP30 bodies, SD60Ms, GP60Ms, SD40-2s, in Warbonnet, Yellowbonnet, BN green, and of course Pumpkin colors.

I am originally from LA So. Bay area and have been in SF bay area many times. I was at Coast Guard at Alameda.
How did the ATSF get down to Nummi area. I thought all their track was north of Oakland?
