End of the BNSF Leasers on Metrolink?

I saw a post that the leasers all got pulled from Metrolink trains this past Friday. On Saturday I came acorss these eight BNSF AC4400CWs sitting south of Mission Tower in downtown Los Angeles.

Adding some color to the pictures, the equipment for the day's Coast Starlight shoved by.

Anyone know (officially) if this is really the end for the leasers?

As fasr as i heard, Friday was the end of the use of BNSF AC4400's on Metrolink trains. The last ones were pulled off after the morning commute.

I don't believe that any of the can cars have been fixed as I have never seen any of the one taken out of service  that I see all the time.

They did budjet money to fix them a few months ago.

Well this is interesting.   No one has heard of any fix for the cars, yet they are pulling off the buffer locos.    Somewhere out there is the rest of the story.

It was reported here properly on the Passenger forum at least a month ago that the fix was being applied.
