Western Railroad Discussion > UP 844 Memphis AerialsDate: 10/24/16 17:47 UP 844 Memphis Aerials Author: csxcophotographers With a few emails about folks wanting to see some aerial photos from Memphis and 844 on Saturday. I decided to show some of The Push Media Group's and www.kingsolomonphotos.com photos.
Great way to see some of the new walking path from above. CSXCOPHOTOGRAPHERS Date: 10/24/16 18:32 Re: UP 844 Memphis Aerials Author: SPMemphisFreight Nice!

John Date: 10/25/16 13:41 Re: UP 844 Memphis Aerials Author: Rathole The diesel was not manned on this trip. It was not needed but had it been needed it could have been controlled from the cab of 844. It was added at Marion, Arkansas (UP's big intermodal terminal) just for the trip over the bridge and back to Marion just to honor the MoPac's heritage in Memphis.

Date: 10/26/16 06:34 Re: UP 844 Memphis Aerials Author: Rathole Yes - it was in reverse, backing up to the UP intermodal terminal in Marion, Ark after being on display in Memphis. The train was turned in West Memphis on Monday (minus the diesel) and headed back west on Monday Oct 24.
