Unusual move on WSOR
Author: theironhorse

BNSF just handed off a unit train of military equipment to the WSOR (Wisconsin Southern) at Crawford (Prairie Du Chien) at 0215. It is heading to Oshkosh via Madison. Not sure why it's going there other than to speculate that is equipment being upgraded, repaired, or traded in with Oshkosh Manufacturing Company. Unfortunately, I can't catch it due being stuck in a hotel waiting to catch a train home..

Maybe a trainload of Oshkosh Truck HEMTT vehicles for repair or upgrade? Interesting route for any move to Oshkosh since they have or used to have a connection of the CN

Herlong is where the Sierra Army Depot is located. Sounds like Oshkosh got the contract to overhaul/repair these vehicles.

Oshkosh did get a contract to recap these vehicles in 2015.
