A Raw Friday On The BNSF
Author: Ritzville

It was a cold breezy raw day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 37-26 and a few snow flakes and drips from the sky. Winter has arrived early, only to get colder next week. Traffic was so-so for a Friday with some lulls here and there. Here are the few catches of today and I did miss a couple of trains doing errands.

1. EB 915am grain train with BNSF 8150 and CSX 349 on the point in the frost.
2. DPU BNSF 7397 on same train in the frost.
3. EB 1148am manifest train with BNSF 8760 and Warbonnet 647 on the pull.

4. EB 1257pm "Z" train with BNSF 6149 on the very point with a friendly wave from the hogger. Crews usually wave after I've taken the picture which is alright with me.
5. WB 129pm grain train with BNSF 6418 and green and cream 9618 on the pull with DPU and a toot-toot and wave from the hogger.
6. Another shot of green and cream 9618 on same train.

7. DPU BNSF 3866 on same train.
8. WB 144pm manifest train with BNSF 6734-5243 on the point with a friendly wave from the hogger.
9. EB 201pm "Z" train with BNSF 7127 on the very point.

10. The End of same "Z" fading away by the old NP Ritzville Depot.
11. Quick grab shot from the market parking lot of EB 216pm grain train with BNSF 7731-3849-6115 on the pull with no DPU.
12. A pan shot in bad light of BNSF 9738 in the head-end mix of WB 357pm coal train.

That's it for this cold day. Hope everyone has a great evening and tomorrow. Thank you so much for looking! Stay warm!

Larry

Good mix of power today and good looking trains.  The green building south and east of you with the swamp cooler (or whatever it is) on the roof wrapped in blue sure has faded over the last 3 years.

That building was sold and they repainted the building. It went from a hamburger and salad joint to a nursery and drive thru fancy coffee place.
