Western Railroad Discussion > UP re-route through Sumner, WA.Date: 12/05/16 20:34 UP re-route through Sumner, WA. Author: lamta_jay Not sure but is UP doing any re-routes over Stampede ?
Today at about 3:30pm or so UP 8349 North went through Sumner on track #1 while I was working the platform, all grey covered hoppers. Anybody know ? Thanks Jay Sumner Station Agent/Sound Transit Date: 12/05/16 20:58 Re: UP re-route through Sumner, WA. Author: MP555 How about UP 3849? It's leading an empty grain Portland to Vancouver BC, Thornton Yard. I thinks it's the more-or-less typical UP/CN train that runs from Canada to California and back...not a detour.

One thing I did notice was the lack of DP's just two motors up front. I have seen UP grainers while working the platform in Tukwila but they were on the UP side not the BNSF side. Jay |
