Here is a coincidental meeting of near-identical engine numbers that Bill Gibson would have loved. The circumstance is a common, and purely classic scene that happens every day in the dispatching of trains. Even though this is 2 main track territory one stationary train is getting run around by another. Of course, the crew getting run around is none to happy. While the guys doing the running around have smiles on their faces.

1. BNSF 8016 (left) & BNSF 8160 (right) are the participants captured here in that classic RR dance known as “the runaround”. We are looking west at a pair of eastbound trains near Wiggam cross-overs east of Emporia, KS on November 14, 2016.

(chuckling) Yowser!!! I see "Mama" as a stern woman with a dark, long-sleeved dress buttoned down tight, high up on the neck. She's wearing thick-rimmed glasses with her hair done up in a severe bun in back. (Probably has a yard stick in her hands ready for instant discipline... ;^)
