36 Days In The White On The BNSF
Author: Ritzville

Another snowfall day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 28-22 and 1.5 inches of snow. This makes 36 straight days of snow on the ground with no end in sight. Now an Arctic blast starting tomorrow. Traffic was busy this morning with a big lull in the afternoon. Here are my catches of the day and one from yesterday.

1/9/17

1. EB 228pm manifest train with a BNSF Orange Blast on the point with DPU and snow flying. This was the last train until after 8pm.
2. DPU BNSF 5070 on same train.

1/10/2017

3. EB 901am grain train with BNSF 7252-6577 on the pull with DPU's and friendly toots from a friend at the throttle.

Too many days with snow on the ground.  How deep is it?  Looks like you can still get around ok.
You are getting some good wintry shots.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks like all from the comfort of your patio!

Staying close to the home, Larry?

You bet J.J., pretty messy away from home. Haven't been able to use the car the past couple of days. Having a real winter this year, lol.

I caught that Z PTLCHC after their crew change in Pasco. They didn't have any problems getting up to track speed and flew through the falling snow causing quite the blizzard.
