Snow Closed Colorado Highways & Ski Resorts
Author: cozephyr

Colorado Rockies experiencing heavy snowfall had closed US Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass and I-70 (snow slide over interstate) several times on January 10, 2017.  Three ski resorts in the Colorado Rockies including Crested Butte were closed due to too much snow!  Snow continues to fall in the Colorado Rockies January 11, 2017.  Winter Park Express likely a wonderful option for skiers on already sold out service.

Jan 10, 2017 Colorado Department of Transportation post at 2:55 PM - US 40 Berthoud Pass Extended Closure both directions Mile Marker (MM) 249.3-234.5, Henderson Mine to Mary Jane. No estimated time to reopen.

US 40 Highway was open January 11, 2017 subject to avalanche control operations.
