Western Railroad Discussion > Foggy night in ChicagoDate: 01/20/17 19:49 Foggy night in Chicago Author: inCHI This afternoon and evening became very foggy in Chicago. My main and far better camera is broken, but I still had to try for some shots with an 8 year old DSLR. With luck, I caught what I consider the most interesting train you can see on Amtrak/NS/BNSF near Canal St. - a BNSF mixed freight train. Others on here have mentioned that it has only returned to interchanging through this sharp 10mph curve because of a decline in oil traffic.
Here it comes across the lift bridge at 21st St., then curves around the connection. The Amtrak shops behind it are hardly even visable.
