Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF's LNG Well Cars in TopekaDate: 01/21/17 09:15 BNSF's LNG Well Cars in Topeka Author: bnsfsd70 BNSF's three LNG-tender well cars have been at the Topeka, KS shops since November receiving modifications, and I'm just now getting around to the photos of them. Previously, these had tank "containers" mounted in them like those on the FEC. I'm not sure what they'll look like when the shops are done with them, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for them.
The three cars shown are the (l to r): BNSF 937502 BNSF 937503 BNSF 937500 In Photo 3, you see the RJCC 416, an RJ Corman laser test car that is being used with this project. Thanks for looking, - Jeff Carlson Date: 01/21/17 09:39 Re: BNSF's LNG Well Cars in Topeka Author: highgreengraphics Thanks. Cool equipment. Nice to see BNSF continuing what its component roads did in Research & Development. All BNSF motors should have the waving US flag emblem on the sides of their noses! And like I said a long time ago, if you need a fool-proof tank car, it's hard to beat a tank in a well car, with crumple zones all around and low center-of-gravity.=== === = === JLH
