Thanks for clearing that up; I guess the posters time is too valuable to write a complete description, so we have to waste ours making up for his laziness!

Or you could just Google the reporting marks CVR. Anyways, I wonder if the CVR will ever be doing any rail replacement with cwr out of Dodge City? Oh, and cwr means continuous welded rail... Lol.. Even if it's second hand, it would be a big boost.

Thanks for the additional info (short for information).
Pardon me for being wanting complete info on these post; isn't the point of writing something on here to inform others?  Or is it to keep us guessing? Or make us waste our time looking something up that was left out due to lazines!!

Hmmm. Interesting.comments.  First I have to stick up for SD45X because he always provides interesting posts and I'm sure he didn't leave out additional details intentionally.  Second I have to agree with pismopete about not being filled in with additional details.  I take issue with Orient for jumping on one pismopete's ass.  Don't know much about Orient but he reflects many posters on here who think the world revolves around their little piss ass town in the middle of nowhere and therefor believes readers on here should be knowledgeable about any railroad, milepost, location etc. that they are familiar with due to the fact that in many cases that they have not traveled 50 miles in either direction from the place they were born.  Just my opinion but some of you here need to leave town once in a while and see the whole big country out there.

Well, if he was lazy, he wouldn't have posted anything.

Friendly reminder that SD45X is "cryptic" because that's his style. Nothing to do with stingy time management or being a slacker. Looks like your false assumption ignited a hostile response, so I hold you partially accountable for the snark.

You can see that there's plenty of support available to "decipher" SD45X when someone asks for help. :-)

Type Stevelv into Google and you get a photo of him holding hands with Pismopete.

Come on Pismopete, just appreciate the insider info SD45X provides for us, even if it is often cryptic. I for one appreciate the heads up.

Incorrect assumption - i know lazy people at work.....but by your rational they're not lazy because they're at work. I still know they're lazy.

I've even heard rumours there are also other countries out there...

I am fairly sure the Cimarron Valley has relaid some of the old 90 lb rail west of Satanta, Ks ( location of office and where the line splits to Boise City and other to Springfield ) and it 'may be 112 lb but I have not had the opportunity to walk up to it and confirm. This is so far, just west of Satanta on the Boise City branch. I will see about getting definite information.

Most of the bridge up the hill to Satanta got bigger rail with the fire and bridge replacement . Can't remember what size.

Oh, I think I can win that race to the bottom... I remember a "union workers are lazy" tech whiner who'd often call in "sick" and show up next week with a tan (from skiing or from beach, who knows). Or just before a project deadline meeting, the high and mighty project lead called in "sick" and left me holding the bag.

So stevelv, maybe if the "readers" of this site would google a little and learn they wouldn't expect the poster to provide every
small detail. One last nasty and very direct point, most of the time the brief information provided is meaningful to the locals who
would be most interested, sorry if someone from SoCal doesn't now about Central Kansas.

Xactly, if the reader has no clue, then they are probably not in the geographic position to benefit from the information, to spell things out for every reader isn't feasible , especially if the original poster is at work, or on lunch break.  If it is earthshaking others will expand on it.
