Flooding on the Coast Line

When was the first photo taken? Can tell it's a difference between the 2 as the bridge is more rusted through paint in photo 2. Also really really sad to see this flooding. Also it does like a truck, but could be a boat. It looks like people on the back with life jackets.

Photos 1 and 2 are from opposite directions.
Is there appreciable water in the Santa Maria River, which is just a mile or so south of this location?

Yes, Mike. There is some wift water on one side of the river. Nothing lke the late 70's when the flow reached the bottom of the bridge.

Neat photo, but technically this is not flooding on the Coast Line. It is flooding on Hwy 1, and it is a Caltrans problem of the pumps under the bridge breaking down or the drain is clogged.

Thanks for the pix. I live on the Mesa and have never seen Highway 1 flooded like that.
