Boats at Bahia
Author: dwatry

Yesterday in the middle of the pouring rain I had to drive to Sacramento from Oakland.  Only took 4 hours.  But I did manage to stop at Bahia and get a few shots of "boats" amidst all the flooding.  I believe these are referred to as "mood shots".  This continues my solid tradition of every time I am able to get out to photograph trains in the Bay Area it is dark and stormy!

1.  Eastbound Capitol sneaking through the marsh reeds with "boats" of the Suisun Bay fleet in the background.
2.  UP GE "boats" waiting for something to do.
3.  A real boat.  Except it forgot the part about being in the water.  Oh well...

It does look a bit soggy. I've enjoyed photographing trains here for decades.

So Duncan, maybe the weather would finally clear up if you just stayed home for awhile!
