UP Fresno Sub is open
Author: bradleymckay

I haven't seen it anywhere on TO but the word is the UP Fresno Sub is now open between Stockton and Sacramento, and trains are rolling by the derailment site at 10mph.

Amazing and what makes it more so is the fact that the rain, while less intense, continues to fall.

Opened last night around 18:15, with the GSBRKE 03 being the first train through the derailment site around 18:50.

Any pictures of the aftermath or clean up?  Are the cars still in the water or removed, was a bridge damaged and repaired?  They took the Roseville hook to the site, but don't believe it ever did any work there. Inquiring minds wanting to know some more regarding the clean up and repair required for this incident.

Check out this video for the aftermath: https://youtu.be/rfYITYpE9Vc

The cars are more or less still strewn about like they are in the video, except for the couple that are in the way of the bridge. They have since been moved out of the way. The missing portion of the bridge and all the missing track has been replaced.
