A few years ago, very early one spring morning, two of us were freezing our tails off hoping that we might catch a sunrise glint shot of a westbound east of Flagstaff.  Being perfectionists, the perfect glint is when the sun has just hit the rails and the side of the subject is lit with brilliant sunrise light.  Alas, the sun is about to peek up above the eastern horizon, and a westbound is coming.  The race is on...which will arrive first!  Unfortunately, for this image, the train won by a hair.  Another minute at the most and we had it nailed.  Close is only good with hand grenades!

This is one that was close.....but no cigar!

Awesome!!! To my taste this is even better than a true "glint shot"; that red sky and glint from that really makes the shot, IMHO!!! I'm jealous.
 

That's a great shot, close is good enough for this shot, horseshoes, hand grenades, AND thermo nuclear weapons ;-)
