Metrolink F125 in Arizona
Author: slug96

On Sunday, Feb. 19, Metrolink's newest locomotive, EMD F125 SCAX 911, is being transported by the BNSF Railway across Northern Arizona. I was lucky enough to catch it at Angell and Cosnino, before the lighted faded away. Good luck to those trying to catch in LA tomorrow!

Thanks for looking!

Any idea why it's being moved in a special move rather than as a trailing unit on a regular train?

I watched it leave Winslow. An employee had me out waiting for a Saudi Arabian engine, so the word was... As it went by, I said, "It's Metrolink" and walked off. :/

Probably to avoid being lost or damaged if shipped via snail mail.

Also to avoid damage from too much traailing tonnage perhaps.

Apparently there's two MOAR coming out of Muncie this week. A few of these ugly things I've seen going west out of KC have been buried deep within a H KCKBAR.

More likely no buff-controlled draft gears.
