January 2017 volume was up 17.4 per cent annnually at 826,640 TEU'S making this the largest Jan on record for the port. Exports increased 28.7 per cent to 162,420 teu's Jan 2017 vs jan 2016 Imports increased 13.1 per cent 415,423 Empty increased 17.9 per cent to 248,797 TEU'S Port LGB January 2017 total volume rose 8.7 per cent to 582,689 TEU'S Exports increased 10.8 per cent to 118,234 TEU'S Imports increase 7.4 per cent to 298,900 TEU'S Empties incresed 9.6 per cent 165,465 Keep in mind Long Beach basically replaced the loss of Hanjin businees--the Port states Pier T contributed to the increase significantly--MSC operates Pier T and worked additional ships during the month of January 2017 Dale Smith Date: 02/23/17 12:03 Re: Port LA-LGB Up Date 2017 Author: gmojim The new Panama Canal does not seem to be having much negative effect.
