Going....Going....
Author: funnelfan

Rain and warmer weather are taking a toll on the blanket of snow that covers the landscape of Eastern Washington. Soon the hardend layer of frozen water crystals will give way to a soupy muddy knee deep layer of top soil. A few weeks ago it was possbile to cross the white landscape with relative ease, as the water logged snow pack had frozen solid making the mile long hike in from the nearest plowed access point not much of an issue. But for most of the coming spring the photogeneic section of the Eastern Washington Gateway RR between Reardan and Hite will remain inaccessable by vehicle or foot. Not until the excess water is either drained or cooked from the earth shall the summer roads in this section be able to support the mass of those who would venture here.

Very NICE shot Ted! The swampy mud is already here in Ritzville. I have to watch my step or sink in the mud, lol.

Ted,

Does the 8702 make it out much, or is it resting more now that the two MRL's are here?
