Western Railroad Discussion > Grandma's Attic, revisited with picturesDate: 03/12/17 13:56 Grandma's Attic, revisited with pictures Author: ns2557 Ok, Am at home now, here is the shot of BNSF GP39-3 2665 at Hastings Ne yesterday. Clearly shows the mod I am referring to. This is the only one I have seen so far. I am guessing these are being done at Relco in Albia? Ben

I'll bet this is BNSF's answer to that problem and perhaps UP and others might follow suit if it works.

It is PTC Date: 03/13/17 05:02 Re: Grandma's Attic, revisited with pictures Author: Hookdragkick EMD Winnebago! Don't stop though: place a couple 102" whip antennae up there.

Date: 03/14/17 19:07 Re: Grandma's Attic, revisited with pictures Author: wister6813 Good information. I caught BNSF 3017 northbound through Santa Fe Jct (KC) on 02/05/17. At the time I wasn't sure of the function for the extra space, and I didn't see the vertical conduit. Note the antenna mount is different.

The conduit is there in front of the windows...just harder to see compared to the BNSF 2665. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/14/17 21:04 by MP555. |
