Western Railroad Discussion > Yermo-bound Military Special Through Houston Today

I happened across a UP military special this afternoon. Symboled SNOYR (Special New Orleans - Yermo),
it’s the equipment for a Fort Polk (LA) unit that’s en route to the Fort Irwin National Training Center (CA).

Power is UP 5565 / UP 7640 / CSXT 389 / CSXT 7776.

Sorry about the idiot in the corner of the screen. I tried throwing rocks and screaming at him to get out of my video, but it was no use.
His pictures were more important than my video. Sad!  :-)

Allegedly another train like this about a day behind this one. We'll see tomorrow...

Caught this guy in Yuma Az over midday-new power, but similar vehicle numbers on lead flats...pretty impressive!

Tanks a Lot!  Also Bradleys, Humvees...

Well, as it turned out, the train I saw in Yuma was a section that ran in front of this one. I saw this section on the start of my return home along I-8. Was nice to see both even though I got limited pix of the first one (UP no trespassing signs in plain view) and nothing of the second due to driving.
