it was a sunny day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 50-31 and .31 of rain yesterday. Traffic yesterday was a bit unusual with #28 and #27 Empire Builders rolling thru the backyard in daylight along with a geomerty train. Today traffic has been fairly light and mostly Orange. Lots of MoW equipment rolling by these days. Looks like major work being done in the Ritzville area with all the equipment parked all over town plus the two office trailors in use. Here are yesterday's and today's catches.

3/18/2017
1. EB 1015am grain train with BNSF Orange-7694-6597 on the point, no DPU.
2. EB 1109am #28 Empire Builder with 818 on the point over 12hrs late.

4. EB 1124am geometry train with BNSF 3???on the pull. Had to do a quick grab shot, train sneaked up on me, lol.
5. WB 1157am #27 Empire Builder with 92 on the point 8hrs late.

13. WB 1116am ballast train with BNSF 5546 on the point with a friendly toot-ttot and wave from the hogger.
14. BNSF 4631 is in the middle of the consist of same train.
15. WB 1213pm coal train with BNSF 6227 on the very point with DPU and a friendly toot-toot form the hogger.

17. EB 1255pm "Z" train with BNSF 6975-9015-4479-4504 on the pull.
18. WB 210pm work train with BNSF 4987-4909 on the point at Bauman Rd., Ritzville.

19. BNSF crane N-975415 rolling in same train.
20. Same train waiting behind signal 641 while head-end power is swapped in postions with 4909 going on the point. BNSF 4909 had flat wheels and maybe will be taken off down the line. Just a guess.
21. Same WB MoW train at 303pm rolling thru the backyard with 4909 on the point thumping along at slow speed.

Thanks for sharing and it was very interesting to see these trains passed Ritzville. I am still don't know about my trip to Ritzville yet, so wait and see.

Interesting trains rollin' through Ritzville. Do you think Burlington Northern Santa Fe will connect the passing tracks and create double track on the Lakeside sub one day? Lots of maintenance of way going on in your backyard!

Many good photos today Larry---as the flat-wheel-flyer leaves town.  Pretty neat that you can catch both passenger trains in the daylight.
