Western Railroad Discussion > SP/WP depot at Westwood CA?Date: 03/20/17 11:16 SP/WP depot at Westwood CA? Author: timz The Barriger collection at flickr.com recently
added a pic of the depot at Westwood (33255067326). Presumably the pictured building was built before WP arrived there? But for all we know the pic was taken after SP left town? Is the bldg that's there now the same bldg, heavily remodeled? 40.30176N 120.99953W Date: 03/20/17 12:18 Re: SP/WP depot at Westwood CA? Author: icancmp193 I believe the building that is there now was built from scratch.

I don't know when it was built but it must have been in 2006/2007 as they were still working on the interior when I took this shot. It is on 3rd Street but I do not know if it is still a visitor's center or has been repurposed.

I do need to rescan these slides on my newer scanner for a better image, but these were handy, so here they are! Lee Hower - Sacramento Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/20/17 20:17 by mcfflyer. Author: TCnR Don t forget that there was a Company building retro depots using town grant money a few years ago. Roseville would one example, Healdsburg or Windsor would be another example. May even be in the TO archives.
