Western Railroad Discussion > Where's the train?Date: 03/24/17 02:53 Where's the train? Author: santafe199 Another preview teaser* while I’m editing 2390+ images from the east…
1. An eastbound CSX manifest has activated the lights & gates at the N 1950th St crossing just west of Teutopolis, IL on the rainy evening of March 13, 2017. *Stay tuned. You’ll see the mysterious train down the road (from Indy). Thanks for looking! Lance Garrels santafe199 corrected to CSX after a reply below Edited 2 time(s). Bill Date: 03/24/17 14:53 Re: Where's the train? Author: santafe199 Thanks for the kind comments, gang! But I gotta confess: Since it was raining AND with nobody behind me on the highway I just stopped in the westbound lane, rolled the window down and grabbed a few photos -train included, which you'll see later.
(Like Texas Ranger Augustus McRae says "I ain't scared to be lazy" ... ;^) Date: 03/24/17 17:08 Re: Where's the train? Author: CCDeWeese Do not remember NS going through Teuotopolis, do rember CSX as the successor to PRR and PC and Conrail.

Well now... Thanks for the correction. It was a UP unit on the point of the train that (dark & stormy) night. And my Illinois DeLorme shows the line as still being Conrail. So I had a 50% chance at getting the correct current RR. Of course, if you have a 50-50 guess at something Murphy's Law say you have a 90% shot at guessing wrong... Lance/199 Edited 1 time(s).
