Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF unit train with nothing but two-bay hoppersDate: 03/24/17 07:25 BNSF unit train with nothing but two-bay hoppers Author: JoCoLB This video shows an eastbound BNSF Railway unit train at Gardner, Kan., on the Emporia Sub. early Thursday afternoon, March 23, 2017. I'm guessing it was an empty frac sand train. Spicing up the footage was a former Burlington Northern engine (No, 9636) mated to a BNSF pumpkin leader (No. 8196)
