I agree about your last shot. Sometimes a scene without a train captures other satisfying results such as the beauty of our country that we don't see everyday. Thank you for showing us some of that beauty.

I agree with everyone else, the third photo is great.  We railfans want trains but with very few exceptions, any railfan outing usually results in more track watching than train watching.  The American West is a beautiful place with or without trains.  Thanks for sharing.

i can't even tell you how many times I've seen the crust balls leading fresh repaints lately! Happy the original AC's are finally getting some love. Nice shots.

last shot great too, funny how those dreaded pole lines used to be in the way, now its always nice to see them in a picture.

not just on the Moffat!  See it a lot here on the PNW too.

isn't that one of the SP nits reducing the old painted unit by another?

UP 6488 was built for UP in June 2000.
UP 6372 was the former SP 326, patch renumber on 21 July 2003. Unknown when it received a full repaint.

It was painted within the last few months. Prior to that it had been a patch for 13+ years.
