Western Railroad Discussion > A couple of CREX units leading on a rainy day in KansasDate: 03/25/17 11:25 A couple of CREX units leading on a rainy day in Kansas Author: JoCoLB Thanks to a tipster, I was able to catch a couple of leased CREX engine units leading an eastbound BNSF Railway manifest train through Gardner, Kan., on the Emporia Sub. at 12:34 p.m. today, Saturday, March 25, 2017.
The CREX units were Nos. 1505 and 1514, trailed by BNSF #1515. Kind of a nice grouping of 1500 series numbers. My second picture of the EB manifest meeting a WB BNSF stack train. It's too bad the meet wasn't a few hundred feet closer to my position. And the sun was shining bright with clear skies. Guess you can't have everything.
