Along Dewey ave. I caught this one since I just happened to have time this day after being laid off from my job. Why eat morning Del Taco Burrito at the restaurant, when time is better spent having it trackside in Riverside! I though maybe these LPG units may have sounded slightly different? And those hoppers sure look different, are they only used on the rock job?
Nathan Date: 03/30/24 06:25 Re: mapboy's question "How do the LPG Units sound? " Author: tuxedorailfan Those aren’t LPG units. Just regular GE’s that may be running on biodiesel. If biodiesel is used, it may smell different but the sound will be the same.

Ideally some day I'll be on an overpass when the Rock Train goes by to smell the French fries or whatever. The pedestrian overpass at the Fullerton Station is an excellent location for the sound of exhaust and smell of diesel fuel. mapboy Date: 03/30/24 10:08 Re: NOT LPG Author: up833 I think the train is descend the grade and it sounds like its in dynamic braking....the whine,
