The UP trace says it left Fresno at 5:30. Its not in Bakersfield yet so looks like mid-day to me. Now for the 64,000 dollar question, is a there a work window on Tehachapi today? If so, the Circus train should run run right with the Z Trains.

According to indications in previous posts, they should be on the Loop anywhere between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., depending on what time they departed Fresno and how much opposing traffic is ahead. They're heading for the L.A. area, and this should be a GREAT opportunity to get some nice photos in sunlight. Maybe someone could entice the BNSF crew to take a camera (still or video) aboard to take some shots when they stop in Caliente. (If that's not in violation of BNSF rules, that is).

Keep your scanners pealed: Circus Radio Frequency is 151.625 AND 151.925. They usually start alerting each other (in the huge expanse of coaches) to up-coming scenic areas, like T. Loop, so you'll be able to hear what they're talking about.

THEY HAVE TO STOP SOMETIME MID-DAY TO FEED & WATER THE ANIMALS ON BOARD, so you'll hear the engineer &/or conductor discussing exactly where that's to take place with the Circus Trainmaster, Tim Holan. All this unusual radio chatter should keep you abreast of what's planned for the movement as they go along.

LET'S SEE SOME T. LOOP PHOTOS POSTED HERE! A MILE LONG passenger train on T. Loop has to be one of the most incredible RR scenes in American RR history. Who's going to be the first to post it? (At least send the pics to TRAINS, CTC B., Railfan, etc.)

Is the routing via Soledad or Colton to LA?

Train passed Goshen Jct at 0735. The train is going to be interchanged with the BNSF at Bakersfield, and the next destination is Inglewood CA. This is all per UP's trace, subject to change. If BNSF takes the train from Bakersfield, it will make the circle tour east of Mojave to Barstow then back down into L.A. through Cajon.

At U.P. yard or BNSF yard power change?

Will the train go to BNSF yard or to UP yard in the transfer of power in Bakersfield?

Gee, Mike, do you actually expect users of this board to read what you went to the trouble to post before asking the question again?
