Anaheim in between the rain
Author: myoungwisc

Stopped by West Anaheim to see what was going on and found what looked to be power for all three local trains. All varieties of GP38's, some of the usual SW1500's and and the "new" RCL units.

The run down:
llpx 2235
upy 164
up 588
upy 1144
upy 162
up 639

upy 163

upy 1208

Yeah, the RCL's aren't very new anymore, but in the scheme of things, they are still hard to get used to at the wye. No road power for the hauler today.

One of the LLPX lease units (looks like ex-Conrail) in a up-esq scheme. I've seen this one around here off and on the past few months.

History of this unit is self explanatory. Looks good with no graffiti and the speed lettering fairly in tact.

Though colorful, especially in the post shower sun, still hard to look at. Not many lightning scheme units make it down here, graff or no graff.

Nice solitary shot of a fairly clean 1208. How many of these switchers made it into speed lettering?

These photographs are fantastic with very nice colour. Do you use film or digital?

LLPX

LLPX 2235 is ex-Long Island. From hauling commuters back east to hauling freight out west.

TCS - so that bright thing was the sun ....
