You Gotta Have Faith

Union Pacific's power department must have a lot of faith in locomotive #8536, a 6000 horsepower SD90AC, built by EMD in December of1999.

The 8536 is minutes out Helper, Utah and a crew change with 32 cars for Grand Junction, Colorado on the drawbar. It will travel about 175 miles to reach it's destination through the barren Green River desert region of eastern Utah. It will meet Amtrak #5 somewhere along the way, and that's about it.

You gotta have faith...

6,000 HP should not have any trouble pulling 32 cars.
