South San Francisco is just rockin' and rollin' with big time freight action on weekday evenings now, although I don't think observers in places like Chicago, St. Louis, etc. would be too impressed. Monday evening's two car Broadway Local is ready to follow Caltrain #186 south while the 25+ car consist of the Mission Bay sits behind it. That train will leave a little later that evening behind the three other units in Frank's photo.

Well you have to consider that I started getting into photography around 89-90' and SSF had way more traffic back then, lots of big power, cadillacs, gp's, t-2's, cruds..you name it. With the Broadway working out of SSF, it's like those days when there was plenty of cars and power in the small yard. I'm a bit to young to remember 4-8-2's <g>.

New power added to Mission Bay Local this morning passed it at Lawrence around 1:35am. An SD70 was leading the way back to SSF with
15 loads and a total of 4 engines.
