Cumbres, Toltec #488 pulling into Antonito (CO) station

Vacation 2009 - Rode three excursion trains in Colorado within a week. Royal Gorge, Cumbres & Toltec and Rio Grande Scenic. A short video clip taken July 22nd of the C&TSRR narrow gauge steam #488 coming into Antonito, CO after the run over the pass from Chama, NM.

Do you mean Rio Grande Scenic?

For the first 15 seconds you can hear (if you turn up the sound) a diesel engine and at 35 seconds a single horn toot. Was that the Rio Grande Scenic positioning its Antonito-Alamosa train on the adjacent standard gauge track?

Very likely. I saw it coming south from Alamosa just as I got to Antonito. And then saw it droop off its "coach class" car at the other depot, do some switching and pickup the Dome car for the return trip to Alamosa with both cars.
