BR&W's #60 Saturday Steam Excursion
Author: Pattenburg

Saturday's morning sun gave way to cloudy skies later in the day as Black River & Western's #60 made its debut on the "Welcome Back #60" excursion. It is seen here passing beneath the Route 202 bridge as it departs BR&W's Three Bridges (NJ) yard on its first run of Saturday. On the last coach was the drum head proclaiming this as the "Hunterdon Flyer" along with a set of horns to warn motorists at the various grade crossings.

So did it run in reverse pushing the entire way from Ringoes to Three Bridges? Or did it pull in reverse to Flemington, run around the train, and push back to Three Bridges?
