Steam & Excursion > More Sad News Out of McCloud - CMO Al Brunello Passes.

I just got a call from McCloud with more sad news. Longtime CMO for the McCloud Ry, Albert Brunello passed away.

Al spearheaded the return to service of both McCloud Ry #25 and then #18. He was a wonderful machinist who was a master of his trade. He had amassed an amazing amount of steam tooling in the McCloud shops when the McCloud Ry returned steam into service.

Al is on the left in this photo. I took this picture of Al, Becky and Zack of the McCloud Ry when we were moving MCRy #25 to OCSR in March of 2011.

That's not very good news, Al was a great guy and a good customer as well, We sold him
some pretty unusual stuff that he made work.

My heart goes out to the family. I first met Al ~20 years ago. A very gracious and knowledgable gentleman.
