After posting this on the Nostalgia forum, it occurred to me people here might be interested too.

The second reel (about 14 minutes in) has a nice runby of a cab-forward powered redwood train. I think I counted 3 cab-forwards in the train in a sort of DPU arrangement.

WOW! Loved this. Notice all the equipment and some narrow guage building the line. Similar engineering was used to complete the San Diego & Arizona thru southern california and Mexico.
