To Covina, CA for a Santa Fe Northern...
Author: PasadenaSub

Yet more pictures of 3751 from today's run from Los Angeles to San Bernardino - from one of the levels of the Metrolink parking structure in Covina.

1-2) The train approached the station and stopped to wait for a westbound Metrolink Saturday train, before proceeding on single track past CP Barranca. I kind of blew my framing for the second picture, so I made this square image out of it.

3) And the meet with Metrolink. I'll bet those passengers were surprised to look out the window and see big steam.

Thanks for looking,

Rich

For a brief period in 1946-47, Pacific Electric 1200-class cars served this location. (look up Covina on the PE Historical Society website)

Real nice Rich! If I had the time, I would have gone to the same spot.

Darn it Rich, that's just when I went back inside the Tioga Pass to let Sofie use the potty!

Great shots, Rich. I was just a floor or two up above you when the 3751 came into Covina. We sure lucked into the sun! Thanks for sharing,

~Ryan

Great timing with the whistle on the 2nd shot, Rich!
