Eureka & Palisade or E&N at Las Vegas
Author: whistlepig

I wasn't sure where to put this but, I figured this was good enough. In 1951 my dad took some 8mm film of my uncle and grandfather leaving for Oklahoma from Las Vegas. This engine was on display at the entrance to Frontier Village at the Last Frontier Hotel. The man in the brown suit is my uncle who was an engineer for the Ada, Oklahoma and Atoka in Ada. It's very blurry but you can get an idea of what #12 looked like before it was moved to what was then the "Gold Strike" on the Nevada side, just above Hoover Dam. #12 and the coaches you see are now sitting in the boneyard at The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada. The kid is yours truly.
