What is the driver size? Tractive effort? How fast will it go? Will it pull 12 passenger cars up a steep grade unassisted?

56 inch driver diameter.

Tractive effort?

77,900 lbs in Compound. 98,300 lbs in simple.

How fast

Generally speaking, as fast as the Engineer has the balls to run her!

Wow...it IS all in how you phrase the question, isn't it! Good form there JW, but I gotta admit, your usual response is way funnier.

With that size drivers I would think 35-40 mph after which it would get rough riding and start hammering the track.

Absolutely.

Also, that tractive effort figure in simple is
only good up to 3 or 4 mph, because if you leave
it in simple above that, you will run out steam
in very short order.
