The K4

No, not THAT K4! I went on a road trip the beginning of this month and saw a few museums, and stopped in Durand, MI to see the 5632. If interested, I can post pictures from the rest of my trip.

Sure, we'd like to see other images. Whew! Had me worried. I am away from home and away from my stash of pop corn. Can you share any details on this K4 for those of us not fully familiar.

It's similar to Dick Jensen's 5629, but it is one batch newer. I think the only difference between the two is that 5632 has a Coffin feedwater heater, and 5629 had Worthington BL.

Too bad she hasn't been kept up as nice as could be although looking a tad better than when I saw her.
Great to see here still there. It takes a lot of work and money to maintain an outdoor exhibit.

Here is a shot from 2006.

You know there is another k4 LNER 61994. A wonderful and powerful 2-6-0. Not what you would expect from a little locomotive her size. Also known as The Great Marquess.
