RailGiants Train Museum in Pomona is having another special Night Photography Event.

Professional railroad photographer Steve Crise will again setup special lightning and smoke generators to create the effects needed to achieve those special shots of operating steam locomotives.

Both 4x10x2 Southern Pacific #5021, and 4x6x4 Santa Fe “Hudson” #3450 steam locomotives will be featured this year. These are two "sole survivors" of their respective classes.

Our original Night Photography Session last year was a sell-out, resulting in many famous images of Union Pacific’s “Big Boy” #4014 and U.P. 4x12x2 #9000 seen world-wide.

Saturday, August 2nd. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

I hope you have a great turnout. Always loved visiting there, and that Santa Fe Hudson is a beauty. Come to think of it, so is SP 5021. Just because you folks chose to allow UP to haul 4005 out of your facility should certainly not discourage people from visiting. There is much more to be seen there at the Pomona Fairgrounds site. Wish (at times) that I still lived down there.

Big Boy #4005 is at the Forney museum in Denver. #4014 is the Big Boy that was in Pomona.
