Steam & Excursion > Steamtown Excursions to Binghamton?Date: 07/30/14 19:17 Steamtown Excursions to Binghamton? Author: RuleG Earlier this year, I read that Steamtown scheduled diesel excursions from Scranton to Binghamton on August 2 and August 23. However, the schedule on Steamtown's website shows excursions to Moscow on these dates and no trips to Binghamton on any other dates.
Do any of you know what happened to the plans for the Binghamton trips? Date: 07/31/14 04:13 Re: Steamtown Excursions to Binghamton? Author: rev66vette They were cancelled as CP would not give them permission to operate on their line to Binghamton.

NS was suppose to buy CP this spring and Steamtown has no steam till next year.
